Visual identity for Thalassinos micro winery. A small winery that was established with a creative
mood in order to produce extraordinary wine in limited batch, following natural, traditional
proceedings, from vine harvesting until bottling. Local and outlandish vine varieties that thrive
harmoniously on the fertile land of Crete, give generously their flavors and tastes at the final
product.
For the logotype we combined the Greek letter «theta» (Θ) with the English letter T, which are
the first letters of the name and surname of the owner in these two languages, using simple and
“clear” typography.
We illustrated the shape of a man’s profile inspired from the imposing mountain of the area
(mount Giouchtas), reminding a King that supervises, protects and blesses the vines and the
corp but also from the interpretation of the name “Thalassinos” (man of the seas, in Greek) like
Poseidon, the mythical Greek God.
